Be Weary Of Hard Water Electric Descaling Product Claims...

The market has been flooded by products that claim to eliminate scale and lower scaling by making use of electric fields or magnets. The so called scale removers use magnets or electric wires wound around incoming water pipes . The electrical field is claimed to produce interferences with the calcium salt molecular structure and stops scale from being formed on the pipe walls and on elements in kettles and heaters. The products claim to prevent an scale from building up in the central heating system.

Perhaps this may be true but you need to thoroughly check these devices before purchasing and test these claims yourself. I for one have queries regarding all the claims suggested by the retailers and manufacturers of these hard water descaling devices. I personally doubt the so called savings claims and would rather see detailed factual evidence from actual electric or heating bills to prove this before I commit myself to buying these devices.

If the sellers of such products provide proof of money saving claims to heating bills then I will only believe them after seeing independent proof of such claims. If you have any unanswered questions regarding these products then do not allow advertising to fool you into purchasing the product. Please do not get me wrong here,  hard water and scaling on pipes and heating elements does reduce heat transfer efficiency ... however it takes much longer to heat the same amount of water in a scaled system and this is incurs additional cost

Yes, I know we all need to soften water ...but I doubt the authenticity of these magnetic or electronic device claims.
